Aims of the course unit: | ||||
Give information of the content L14, airport definitions, verification of the theoretical konowledge and obtain of the practical knowledge by airport excursion. | ||||
Learning outcomes and competences: | ||||
Gaining knowledge of notation and categorization of airports and obstructions, setting of airport data, recognizing of visual navigation means, setting of emergency aircraft category. | ||||

Course contents: | ||||
Definitions and performances, types of airports, notation of airports, airport data, physical characteristics of airports, limitations and removal of obstructions, visual navigation means, visual means for obstruction marking, visual means for marking areas used limitedly, airport facilities, emergency and other services, ecology, emission, noise, terminals and dispatch. | ||||
Teaching methods and criteria: | ||||
The course is taught through lectures explaining the basic principles and theory of the discipline. Exercises are focused on practical topics presented in lectures. | ||||
