Aims of the course unit: | ||||
The course will familiarise students with the methodology of designing production procedures for machining of typical engineering components with respect to individual stages of the manufacturing process. | ||||
Learning outcomes and competences: | ||||
Students will be acquainted with an analytical approach applied for solution of the basic problems in designing production procedures applied in manufacturing of engineering components. They will be familiarised with respective technological issues including quantification of the time consumption and economic appraisal.. | ||||
Prerequisites: | ||||
Technological characteristics of cutting methods, machine tools, cutting tools. | ||||
Course contents: | ||||
Methodology of production planning applied in manufacture of engineering components focused on the machining technology. Designing production procedures for machining of typical engineering components. Analysis of technological influence on the manufacturing process. Optimization of a machining manufacturing process. | ||||
Teaching methods and criteria: | ||||
The course is taught through lectures explaining the basic principles and theory of the discipline. Teaching is suplemented by practical laboratory work. | ||||
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes: | ||||
Course unit credit requirements: -participation in the exercises, -delivery of assigned papers. The exam will be written and oral and the resulting classification will be in accordance with Article 12 and 13 of the current BUT Study and Examination Regulations. It is classificated to the ECTS grading scale. |

Controlled participation in lessons: | ||||
Missed lessons will be compensated in alternative exercises by arrangement with the teacher. Attendance in lectures is recommended. Attendance in exercises is compulsory. The attendance to the seminar is regularly checked and the participation in the lesson is recorded. |
