Academic year 2018/2019 |
Supervisor: | doc. Ing. Zdeněk Lidmila, CSc.
Supervising institute: | ÚST
Teaching language: | Czech
Aims of the course unit:
The main goal of the subject is to provide students with all basic information about designing of industrial plants. The course is divided into two different parts: one focussing on designing of workshops and production lines, one concentrating on material handling. Both parts are connected with different technology of mechanical engineering.
Learning outcomes and competences:
Students will acquire necessary knowledge from the areas of mechanical engineering workshops designing and material handling. The course is focused mainly on different technologies of mechanical engineering, such as metal forming, welding and cutting, machining and casting.
Prerequisites: | ||||
Basic knowledge of manufacturing technology (mainly forming and machining technology), as well as basic knowledge of materials handling and machines and technological equipment used.
Course contents: | ||||
The course deals with the following topics : Positioning, fundamental plant lay-out, capacity calculation, flow of technology, shop and workplace layout, dimension of workplace, work safety, methods of organization and realization of technological projects and its economic evaluation. Technique of designing materials handling, main devices for materials handling.
Teaching methods and criteria:
The course is taught through lectures explaining the basic principles and theory of the discipline. Exercises are focused on practical topics presented in lectures.
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes:
Students attendance at lectures and their activity is checked and evaluated by occassional tests. |
||||
Controlled participation in lessons:
Students attendance at lectures and their activity is checked and evaluated by occassional tests.
