Aims of the course unit:
Students will have a clear idea of the area related to their diploma thesis. Students will become familiar with the subject of their diploma thesis and solution procedures, specification. They will contact professionals in the area of their diploma thesis subject.
Learning outcomes and competences:
Students will learn how to solve a given technical problem in the area of Environmental Engineering. They will acquire methods of collecting information and its treatment.
Prerequisites:
Basics of environmental engineering, heating, ventilation, air conditioning.
Course contents:
Introduction to the diploma thesis. The study of the literature related to the assigned technical problem, technical standards, codes, specifications of manufactures, experiment preparation.
Teaching methods and criteria:
The course is taught through exercises which are focused on practical topics presented in lectures.
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes:
Students work individually following the instructions of their head of diploma thesis.
Requirements: Semester technical report with bibliographic searches and partial results.
Controlled participation in lessons:
Attendance at seminars and excursions is required.

    Computer-assisted exercise  13 × 3 hrs. compulsory
