Academic year 2018/2019 |
Supervisor: | doc. Ing. Josef Klement, CSc.
Supervising institute: | LÚ
Teaching language: | Czech
Aims of the course unit:
The objective of the course Aircraft Manufacture I is to inform of aircraft manufacture specific attributes and methods and procedures, which are necessary for design specialists.
Learning outcomes and competences:
Students acquire the knowledge necessary for evaluation of technological methods, design from technology point of view and for technology planning of heat treatment, forming, composite manufacture and joining.
Prerequisites: | ||||
Basic knowledge of the structure, phase transformations and properties of metal structural materials. Basic technological principles and methods of materials processing - heat treatment, forming.
Course contents: | ||||
Basic technological methods and processes in aircraft production. Heat treatment technology of light alloys and steels. Forming techniques in aircraft manufacture. Fundamentals of composites and sandwich structures manufacturing. Rivets and riveting.
Teaching methods and criteria:
The course is taught through lectures explaining the basic principles and theory of the discipline. Exercises are focused on practical topics presented in lectures. Teaching is suplemented by practical laboratory work.
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes:
Satisfying the course-unit credit conditions it is necessary to attend compulsory seminars and to pass three written tests. The final evaluation consists of the tests results (30%) and oral examination (70%).
Controlled participation in lessons:
Attendance at seminars is compulsory. In the case of legitimate absence, students are required to work out an alternative individual assignment. Continuous checking is done during seminars.
