Aims of the course unit: | ||||
The goal of the the subject is to provide students an overview of construction of devices used in physics of surfaces and optics. | ||||
Learning outcomes and competences: | ||||
Students will learn the function and design of the basic instruments and also the programs used in their design. | ||||

Course contents: | ||||
Introduction to Design of Scientific Instruments and CADS gives a basic overview of instruments and mechanisms used in surface science and optics. Students are introduced in to the computer design of optical systems particularly. | ||||
Teaching methods and criteria: | ||||
The course is taught through lectures explaining the basic principles and theory of the discipline. Exercises are focused on practical topics presented in lectures. | ||||
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes: | ||||
Student designs optical system. A short report will be classified. | ||||
Controlled participation in lessons: | ||||
Final report is controlled. | ||||
