Aims of the course unit:
The aim of the crouse it to reinforce individual abilities of students to express themselves in English at B1+ level. The previously gained knowledge of grammar and vocabulary will be revised and systematically expanded in real contexts.
Learning outcomes and competences:
After passing this course (and the follow-up course 0A6) students should be able to communicate in English independently at B1+ level.
Prerequisites:
The minimum entry requirement is the knowledge of A2+ grammar and vocabulary.

Course contents:
The course 0A5 (and the following 0A6 in the summer semester) is aimed at students attending compulsory course A5 (A6 in the summer semester) who need to develop their English at general B1+ level. It can also be selected by students who finished courses A5, A6 and need the general language course to fix their knowledge.
Teaching methods and criteria:
Language instruction as an extension of basic professional curriculum.
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes:
Course-unit credit is awarded on condition of having attended the seminars actively, worked out assigned tasks and passed a credit test. The credit test has one regular term and one resit.
Controlled participation in lessons:
Attendance is compulsory and is checked on a regular basis. Students are allowed to miss two seminars.
