Aims of the course unit: | ||||
The aim of the course is to revise secondary school English and help students feel more confident in compulsory courses. | ||||
Learning outcomes and competences: | ||||
Students will revise grammar for everyday communication at the A2-B1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages | ||||
Prerequisites: | ||||
Course is intended for students who need to revise secondary school English during their studies in compulsory courses or before the General English Exam. | ||||

Course contents: | ||||
The course gives an overview of the English grammar and vocabulary corresponding to secondary school curriculum. It can be useful for students who need to revise the grammar and skills needed in compulsory courses or for General English Exam. | ||||

Language instruction as an extension of basic professional curriculum. | ||||
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes: | ||||
Course-unit credit is conditioned by active attendance and participation in the seminars and by meeting specific requirements of the teacher. |

Controlled participation in lessons: | ||||
Attendance at seminars is systematically checked by the teacher. Students are allowed to make up missed seminars if their absence is legitimate. |

Language exercise | revision of the basics of English pronunciation verb “to be” and modal verb “can” – positive, negative, question subject pronouns “I,you, he…”, object pronouns “me, you, him…” possessive adjectives “my, your, his…” question words “who, what, where, how, whose…” introduction to articles “a/an, the” plural nouns demonstratives “this, these…” imperative possessive “’s” prepositions of place and time present simple – 3rd person singular, positive, negative, question adverbs of frequency “often, always, never…” present continuous – positive, negative, question |
