Aims of the course unit: | ||||
The aim of the examination is to prove student's knowledge and skills at B2 level with the focus on the vocabulary and skills needed when studying in the English language. The students are expected to use the language as independent users. | ||||
Learning outcomes and competences: | ||||
Can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in his/her field of specialization. Can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party. Can produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options. |

Study at upper-intermediate level are regarded as a minimum to pass the exam. | ||||

Course contents: | ||||
The exam tests the knowledge and skills acquired in previous study. It corresponds to the level B2 according to the "Common European Framework of Reference: Learning, Teaching, Assessment" set by the Council of Europe. The exam is aimed at students wishing to participate in Erasmus+. | ||||

The exam has a written and an oral part. The written part focuses on grammar and vocabulary, and the oral part tests fluency, pronunciation and ability to use vocabulary and grammar at B2 level. In both parts, students are required to collect at least 50% of the points. | ||||
