Supervisor: | Ing. Miroslav Jopek, Ph.D.
Supervising institute: | ÚST
Teaching language: | Czech
Aims of the course unit:
The objective of the project is to prove students ability to solve the given technological assignment on the basis of applying the knowledge and skills acquired in the course of studies in the respective technical subjects, under technical supervision and guidance by a teacher.
Learning outcomes and competences:
Students obtain the basic skills in and experience of elaborating technical reports and the required drawing documentation, in agreement with the valid technical standards and regulations.
Prerequisites: | ||||
The basic knowledge of design, production technology, and materials.
Course contents: | ||||
The project focuses on the application of the knowledge in the field of engineering technologies and also other related technical branches in the course of elaborating an independent one-semester project on a given technological topic. The topics are oriented to fundamental designs of the manufacturing technologies of metal-forming, welding and surface treatment. The project is elaborated under the guidance of a supervisor. |
||||
Teaching methods and criteria:
The course is taught through practical laboratory work.
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes:
The course "Specialization project I" is concluded with a technical report of the required extent and form prepared on PC. The required drawing documentation can be in pencil but of the required scale and in keeping with valid standards. The project is reviewed by a tutor, then marked, and after a discussion of the comments with the student graded course-unit credit is awarded in the examination period, in the credit week at the earliest. The course is finalized with the course-unit credit. It is classificated to the ECTS grading scale. |
||||
Controlled participation in lessons:
Absence from classes is compensated by a substitute for the project. The attendance to the seminar is regularly checked and the participation in the lesson is recorded. Attendance in lectures is recommended. Attendance in exercises is compulsory. |
