Aims of the course unit: | ||||
The main goal of the course is to provide students with knowledge of broad possibilities of casting manufacture using non-convential methods with respect to the chosen mould and core technology,and pouring system. |

Learning outcomes and competences: | ||||
Knowledge of non-conventional foundry technologies using permanent and non-permanent patterns(i.e.investment casting and lost foam technologies). |

Prerequisites: | ||||
Basic knowledge of conventional methods of casting manufacture and foundry alloys and their properties. |

Course contents: | ||||
This course is focused primarily to the less "conventional" technologies such as investment casting, lost foam process, vaccuum moulding etc. | ||||
Teaching methods and criteria: | ||||
The course is taught through lectures explaining the basic principles and theory of the discipline. | ||||

Attendance in lectures is recommended. Examination : written and oral exam. |
