Supervisor: | doc. Ing. Jan Zouhar, Ph.D.
Supervising institute: | ÚST
Teaching language: | Czech or English
Aims of the course unit:
The course explains the principles of Computer Aided Design systems
Learning outcomes and competences:
Students will have an overview of CAD system properties used in the design and construction processes.
Prerequisites: | ||||
Basic knowledges about design of machina parts and machin nodes. Knowledge of computer control. |
||||
Course contents: | ||||
The course is focused on modern technology and modern methods used in the development and design of a product. At the beginning the term “Computer Aided Design” is defined along with its integration into the production process. Next, CAD systems are dealt with in more detail, systems separated into categories and the use of each category is explained with a view to working methods and available tools. Part of this subject is concerned with collaborative design between computerized workstations over a network (LAN).
Teaching methods and criteria:
The course is taught through lectures/consultations explaining the basic principles and theory of the discipline.
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes:
Active participation in consultations is necessary. Exam will be take on the basic of presentation design work or on the basic work made by pattern and after consultation/presentation. |
||||
Controlled participation in lessons:
Students attend a consultation. Individual assignments and result checking. |
