Aims of the course unit: | ||||
The aim of the course is to familiarise students with the use of special forming methods in broad terms. | ||||
Learning outcomes and competences: | ||||
The students will acquire knowledge of conventional as well as unconventional types of technologies, and will be able to apply these technologies for particular cases of forming. | ||||
Prerequisites: | ||||
The basic knowledge of the manufacturing technology and theory of the forming process. |
||||
Course contents: | ||||
Special and unconvencional methods of sheet metal forming, forging resp bulk forming. Processes analysis, infuence of forming conditions and parameters, forming limits with respect of defects and forces. Technological sketches of methods. Applications. | ||||
Teaching methods and criteria: | ||||
The course is taught through lectures explaining the basic principles and theory of the discipline. Teaching is suplemented by practical laboratory work. | ||||
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes: | ||||
Course - unit credit requirements: participation in the exercises, delivery of assigned papers. The examination consists of written and oral part. The final classification will be in accordance with ECTS grading scale. |

Controlled participation in lessons: | ||||
The attendance in lectures is recommended. The attendance in exercises is compulsory. The attendance to the seminar is regularly checked and the participation in the lesson is recorded. The missed lesson is possible to replace with another study group in the same week. In case, that the lesson does not possible to replace, the student will elaborate the complemental task. | ||||
