Aims of the course unit: | ||||
Theoretically prepare a student to pass the examinations at the Civil Aviation Authority to obtain a private pilot license (PPL). | ||||
Learning outcomes and competences: | ||||
Certificate of completion of theoretical training. | ||||
Prerequisites: | ||||
High school level knowledge of mathematics and physics is demanded. | ||||
Course contents: | ||||
Learning outcomes of the course unit The subject acquaints the student with the initial theoretical knowledge for obtaining a private pilot license. These are the issues of aerodynamics and flight mechanics, navigation, radionavigation, meteorology, operating procedures, communications, aircraft design, aircraft instruments and human performance. | ||||
Teaching methods and criteria: | ||||
The course is taught in the form of lectures, which are an explanation of the basic principles and theories of the discipline. | ||||
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes: | ||||
Conditions for granting the credit: - at least 80% attendance at lectures, - at least 75% of correct answers in the written test. The classification is governed by the ETCS rules. |

Controlled participation in lessons: | ||||
Attendance at lectures is compulsory and is reported in the class book of the flight school. | ||||
