Applied Hydrodynamics (FSI-9APH)

Academic year 2023/2024
Supervisor: doc. Ing. Jaroslav Štigler, Ph.D.
Supervising institute: all courses guaranted by this institute
Teaching language: Czech or English
Aims of the course unit:
The aim of this course is to make the students knowledge deeper and wider in the field of fluid flow.
Learning outcomes and competences:
The student will be able to orient oneself in the different kind methods used for the numerical solution of fluid flow.
Prerequisites:
It is supposed the basic knowledge from hydromechanics, differential and integral calculus.
Course contents:
The course is built in the way to give wider and deeper information about non-vortex and vortex flow of ideal and real fluid. The students will be familiarized with some possibilities how to make numerical model of fluid flow.
Teaching methods and criteria:
The course is taught through lectures explaining the basic principles and theory of the discipline.
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes:
The course is finished with exam. The students have to proof their knowledge about lectured problems.
Controlled participation in lessons:

Type of course unit:
    Lecture  10 × 2 hrs. optionally
Course curriculum:
Lecture Introduction, basic of used mathematics, fundamental terms of hydromechanics. Non vortex and vortex flow of ideal and real fluid. Turbulent fluid flow and turbulent models. Methods used for solution of ideal and real fluid flow.
