Aims of the course unit:

Knowledge extension into area of cutting tool and jig design in parametric systems and elaboration of technology in 3D machining processes.

Learning outcomes and competences:
Extending CAD/CAM knowledge in the field of tool making and production jigs.
Prerequisites:
Basic knowledge of working ion CAD and CAM systems.
Course contents:

Focused to the PhD kind of study, it assumes corresponding knowledge in CAD construction and technology in CAM. Design of cutting tools and production jigs using parametric systems and elaboration of technology in 3D CAM processes.

Teaching methods and criteria:
The course is taught through lectures explaining the basic principles and theory of the discipline.
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes:
Elaboration of the assignment from the field of machining technology. Oral exam on the topic of the student’s dissertation.
Controlled participation in lessons:
Tuition and working of tasks.
