Aims of the course unit:
Course explain definition Reverse engineering, Rapid Prototyping and next describe methods virtual model design.
Learning outcomes and competences:
Course access know, how convert existing physical models on to virtual model, how editing virtual model and next from virtual model make 3D product.
Prerequisites:
Students are expected to have basic knowledge of designing machine parts and machine nodes, as well as computer knowledge.
Course contents:
The Course explain data mining from 2D and 3D models by using modern methods. Next explain methods of data processing for CAD/CAM/CAE systems.
Teaching methods and criteria:
The course is taught through lectures explaining the basic principles and theory of the discipline.
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes:
Exam will be take on the basic of presentation design work or on the basic work made by pattern and after consultation.

Students attend a lecture.

CAD/CAD/CAE systems ; Data Source for Rapid Prototyping equipment
Data communication between CAx systems and Rapid Prototyping equipment
Basic knowledges about Rapid Prototyping

Rearrangement and using Physical 3D model – Soft Tooling, Hard Tooling
