Supervising institute: | ÚK
Teaching language: | Czech
Course type: | departmental course
Aims of the course unit:
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the basic attributes of industrial design in solving simple design products and to encourage the emergence of necessary habits, procedures and basic skills. The aim is to respect and emphasize the technical, operational and technological aspects of design. |
||||
Learning outcomes and competences:
  | ||||
Prerequisites: | ||||
Students are expected to have mastered the fundamentals of drawing and molding necessary for project presentation. It is also necessary to have an understanding of the basic spatial creation, artistic composition, and realization of three-dimensional models. |
||||
Course contents: | ||||
The course covers the basic methods and habits necessary for working on a design project. Throughout the semester, students are given assignments to design products that have a simple function. Suitable topics include the design of hand tools such as a hand saw for wood or metal, an electric drill, or a jigsaw. The design project itself will be documented by drawing sketches, plan documentation, perspective views, and a three-dimensional model of the final solution. Students are expected to use digital technologies for visualization and animation in the development of the current project. |
