Aims of the course unit:

The aim of the subject is to deepen the knowledge of drawing as basic way of visual recording. Practical workshop emphasizes the building up of volume, movement and character of model. Technical and routine drawing of figure and gaining basic habits for building up volume during drawing of figure, its movement and character.

The subject focuses on figure drawing. The drawing by live model allows possibility of getting the habit to reduce, get to the essence and characteristics, and to develop the potential of creative work.

Drawing of the head according to the live model, symmetry, proportions, characteristic features


Drawing of a seated half-body figure, based on a live model, principles for its construction


Study of the movement of the figure according to the live model


Study drawing of nude


Evaluation of the semester, analysis of strengths and weaknesses of individual works
