Supervisor: | Ing. Miroslav Jopek, Ph.D.
Supervising institute: | ÚST
Teaching language: | Czech
Aims of the course unit:
The aim of the subject is to introduce different types of mechanization and automation devices and to explain the operation of complex production systems, from classic systems through mechanized systems to progressive production systems using higher degrees and levels of automation. During the course, students will primarily understand the operation of basic elements, mechanized and automated systems (MAZ), handling devices and mechanized subsystems, as well as ways of creating complex production systems with the application of automated machines, NC and CNC machines, machining centers, manipulators, robots and other devices used in all common engineering production technologies. In addition to construction and technological departments, they will apply the acquired knowledge in design activities in the processing of all types of technological and production designs for engineering production. |
||||
Learning outcomes and competences:
  | ||||
Prerequisites: | ||||
Basic knowledge of production mechanization, material handling and an overview of the machines and equipment used in engineering technologies (especially in forming, machining, casting, welding and unconventional technologies) and their construction. Basic knowledge of mathematical logic. |

Teaching methods and criteria:

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes:
Participation in each exercise is controlled. If a student misses a lesson, it is possible to replace the relevant lesson with another study group only in the same week. The teaching of only one exercise can be excused, in case of several missed exercises and it is impossible to replace the lesson, the development of substitute protocols and calculation assignments will be assigned. Ongoing control of teaching is provided by checking students' independent access to solved sub-projects, entered in the form of protocols. The final evaluation of the subject is carried out by checking participation in classes and evaluating the quality of the development of partial projects with the subsequent awarding of credit, which is a necessary condition for the possibility of passing the exam. The exam, checking the level of general knowledge, consists of a written and an oral part. |
