Aims of the course unit: | ||||
The objective of the course is to familiarise students with CAM system and its use in technology processing for a workpiece created in CAD system for NC machine tools. |

Course contents: | ||||
The course deals with problems of technological preparation of production, input assumptions and principles of algorithmization of activities in technology. It focuses on the application of CAD/CAM programs in individual activities of the technologist: selection of semi-finished products, determination of operations, operational dimensions, design of machinery, selection of tools, determination of working conditions, etc. Automatic programming of CNC machines. It also deals with the technical equipment of CAM computer systems for the field of technology and the possibilities of applying expert systems. It also deals with tool management and its automation. The course also works in the mode of drawingless documentation. |

Attendance in the exercises is compulsory and checked. It is allowed a maximum of two absences per semester. The course-unit credit is awarded according to attendance and submission of individual assignments in the exercises. Attendance in lectures is recommended. |
