Aims of the course unit: | ||||
Improvement of student competencies and knowledge of work with different sources of information. Training in planning, organization and control, selection of variants, correct decision-making and user processing of technical-economic or organizational backgrounds and information. Use of AI elements - risk, benefits of working with them. Use of analytical and rating methods of problem solving, which are proposed for a new system or process with the target characteristics. Application of acquired knowledge and abilities in practice. A technical report is elaborated under professional guidance of the tutor and leader of the diploma thesis. The introductory, alternatively partial problems, which will be dealt with in detail in the diploma thesis, can be solved within this report. The report is professionally reviewed by a designated reviewer and must be defended by the student before the study group. Individual elaboration of the technical-economic or organizational final project report publication, which meets the requirements and principles for technical documentation. |

Prerequisites: | ||||
Students are expected to have the knowledge acquired in the course of previous study, namely in fields of theory and technology of machining, material science, metrology, mathematics, physics. English language is also required. |

Course contents: | ||||
Improvement of independent creative work, analytical judgement and evaluation skills of the student. Ability to plan, organize and manage, select options, make correct decisions and process technical and economic documents and information. Use of elements of AI especially LLM in the development of thesis - rhythm, benefits of thesis. Teamwork in the computer lab. Independent development of a techno-economic or organisational final project on a given topic, meeting the requirements and principles set for the development of technical documentation. Assignments of project topics from industrial practice and applied research are welcome. |
