Aims of the course unit: | ||||
The aim of the course is to familiarise students with the methodology of the technological planning of the production of engineering components, designing of the production procedure and analysis of respective relations in the technology of the engineering components production.
The ability to analyse forming process, adaptability for given conditions of technological preparation of production of forming parts in practice. Students will acquire knowledge of the tool design as well as skills necessary for proposing a concept of a tool for various forming technologies including application of design parameters |

Prerequisites: | ||||
Knowledge of forming technology. Knowledge of engineering drawing, rules for fitting, types of materials used for tools. Knowledge of stress analysis and technological steps. |

Course contents: | ||||
Technological preparation of production as an integral component of the technological process of forming. Application of material heating before and after forming. The course deals with the following topics: Types of forming tools for rolling, drawing, bending, deep drawing, extrusion, forging. The course focuses also on design of tool elements including materials for tools. |
