Course curriculum:

1. Fundamentals and terminology of NC machining technology.
2. Tool materials for CNC machining.
3. Wear of cutting tools, forms and physical mechanisms.
4. Measurement of tool loading when cutting.
5. Technology of turning. Turning operations a tooling.
6. Technology of drilling. Drilling operations a tooling
7. Technology of milling. Machining operations a tooling.
8. Fundamentals of CNC programming - SINUMERIK 810D/840D. SPY 280, MCV 1210.
9. Methods of programme generation. Graphical simulation of a programme.
10. CNC machining cycles. Machining of complex curves and surfaces.
11. CNC work schedule and sequence of cutting operations, tooling and machine set up list.
12. Fundamentals of FV 25CNC/ Heidenhain iTNC 530 programming.
13. DNC programming of FV 25CNC/ Heidenhain iTNC 530.ShopMill, ShopTurn.

    Laboratory exercise 1. Basic descriptions of cutting machines and facilities.
2. Selection of tool materials for CNC machining.
3. Estimation of cutting conditions. Tool wear.
4. Active measurement of tool loading when cutting.
5. Technology of turning, calculations. Basic turning operations and tooling.
6. Basics of CNC programming - SINUMERIK 810D.
7. Tool management. Tool coding.Data operations. Graphical simulation of a programme.

9. CNC machining cycles. Contour turning.
10.CNC work schedule. Sequence of cutting operations when machining.
