The course introduces students to the basics of color theory, which are applied in industrial design, through practical composition exercises. It is about the perception of surface and spatial color, color combinatorics, color illusiveness and the harmony of colors with the concept of the proposed design.

1st task, color composition on the theme of warm and cold colors
Temperature contrast, color perspective
2nd task, color composition on the topic of simultaneous contrast
Meaning of complementary colors
3rd task, color solution of the design proposal from the subject YDE
Color variants, color compatibility with the design concept, materials used, production technologies, marketing, user and safety requirements
Color logic of a single product and a complete product line
Color trends in 20th and 21st century design
Surface treatment of spatial models and sketches, sealants, paints
