The course provides a comprehensive overview of industrial metrology with a focus on 3D metrology systems, standardization, measurement errors, and metrological traceability. Students will become familiar with both contact and non-contact measurement methods, including modern technologies such as 3D scanning and photogrammetry. The course also covers processing and analysis of digital measurement data, inspection of mechanical parts based on technical drawings, the application of GD&T, comparison of ISO and ASME standards, and the fundamentals of reverse engineering in mechanical engineering. Strong emphasis is placed on connecting theoretical knowledge with practical skills. Students will learn to independently perform measurements using a 3D scanner and a photogrammetric system, evaluate production process stability using statistical methods, and effectively utilize digital data within quality control processes. The practical and theoretical competencies gained in this course broaden the interdisciplinary profile of design and manufacturing engineers and enhance their expertise in modern industrial metrology. |
