Course contents:
The course is intended to facilitate students’ work on their diploma theses. The output of each thesis is in addition to the text part also one of the following outputs: article in proceedings or in periodical, utility or industrial model or technically realized result (prototype, functional sample).
<br /> This course was supported under the FabLabNet project from the European Regional Development Fund within the programme "Interreg Central Europe". The course uses facilities of the open-access student workshop "StrojLab", built with the support of Institute of Machine and Industrial Design and the FabLabNet project.
Teaching methods and criteria:
Lectures, exercises with computer support, self-study.
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes:
Course-unit credit is awarded on the following conditions: active work on diploma thesis, which is confirmed by supervisor, submission of the text part of diploma thesis and all required outcomes. Active application for the final state exam.
Credit will be given for delivery of thesis outputs defined in the in the thesis assignment and submission of text part in physical and electronic form. All outputs (text, attachments, photographic documentation of physical outputs) must be submitted in digital form to a designated portal.
Controlled participation in lessons:
Progress in processing of the thessis and outputs as well as work in laboratories is controlled by supervisor of diploma thesis.
Type of course unit:

- Laboratory of technical diagnostics.
- Laboratory of robotic machining.
- Selective Laser Melting Laboratory.
- Production workshop.
- Studios of the Department of Industrial Design.
- 3D printing cluster.
- StrojLab.
Supervision of Master’s thesis Areas of study are given individually by the supervisor of the diploma thesis. Individual work of the student is consulted and supervised with focus to the detailed elaborating of the following chapters of the thesis (according type):
