Aims of the course unit:
The aim of this crouse it to reinforce individual abilities of students to express themselves in English. The previously gained knowledge of grammar and vocabulary will be revised and systematically expanded in real contexts.
Learning outcomes and competences:
After passing this course students should be able to communicate in English independently, to B2 level. The knowledge and skills gained should contribute to more fluent speaking and communcation in personal, academic as well as professional environments. The course can also be used as preparation for international English language exams.
Prerequisites:
The minimum entry requirement is the 7AZ exam, i.e. the knowledge of B1 grammar and vocabulary.

Course contents:
This is a follow-up course to 0A7. The course is aimed at students who passed the 7AZ final examination. It offers an extension of the English language skills at B2 level using the communicative approach.
Teaching methods and criteria:
Language instruction as an extension of basic professional curriculum.
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes:
Students‘ assessment is carried out based on the attendance record, active participation in classroom discussions and the results of the final exam.
Controlled participation in lessons:
Attendance is compulsory.

In well-founded cases, extra absences can be made up for after consulting the situation with the teacher.

Week 8: -ing form and infinitive; crime
Week 9: past modals; scam
Week 10: relative clauses; film
Week 11: participle clauses, art
Week 12: architecture and art
Week 13: exam
