Course contents:
The course "Handling Means and Systems" makes the students
acquainted with the handling means and systems used in various
industrial branches, in transport and in consignment activities. It
explains the relations between material and handling means and it
defines quantitative and qualitative factors of handling process. It
makes the students acquainted with the structures and functions of
the most important handling means and of their structural centres
used in production, storage and distribution and with the handling
and storage systems and their behaviour. It defines the main parameters
of handling and storage systems and it shows the methods of their
evaluation from the standpoint of their working reliability as well as
of their repay and returns of expended purchase-costs.
