Course contents:
The course is based on the knowledge gained in the courses
listed in the section "prerequisites" and it develops them towards
the specific conditions, execution and operation kinds of electric
drives of transport and handling equipments (THE). It is also aimed
at the regulation ways of electric drives used in THE and at their
power characteristics. It even takes notice of the electric equipment
of cranes, hoisting devices as well as of modern control modes of
lifts and other transport and materials handling machines. Electric
drives in THE - requirements, dimensioning, drives peculiarities
of cranes, lifts and other THE with direct and alternating electric
motors. Multimotor drives - requirements, control. Semiconductor
converters and their applications in THE. Ways of control and drive
regulations of lifts, cranes and other THE. Electric drives and their
control in direct and alternating tractions and in traffic.
