Fatigue and Durability of Structures (FSI-QUK)

Academic year 1999/2000
Supervisor: doc. Ing. Břetislav Mynář, CSc.
Supervising institute: ÚADI all courses guaranted by this institute
Teaching language: Czech
Aims of the course unit:

Learning outcomes and competences:

Prerequisites:

Course contents:
The course is aimed at the application of dimensioning and structures
designing methods under the conditions of real dynamic load. Some
methods of analysis of deterministic and stochastic dynamic processes
are demonstrated here. The main explanation is concentrated on the
problems of fatigue during the mechanical stress, especially on the
origination and propagation of the fatigue crack, on the stress and
deformation concentrations, on the hypotheses of fatigue damage
cumulation and on the calculation of the real component durability.
In conclusion, some methods of experimental checking of structures
durability are described.
