Aims of the course unit: | ||||
The goal of the course is to show the students experimental and measurement methods used in the branch of hydraulic machines and evaluation of the characteristics of hydraulic machines. | ||||
Learning outcomes and competences: | ||||
Theoretical and practical knowledge of the experimental work and numerical interpretation of measurement and evaluation of characteristics | ||||
Prerequisites: | ||||
Basics in hydrostatics, hydrodynamics, thermo mechanics | ||||
Course contents: | ||||
The course presents the problem of hydraulic machine testing, model similarity, principles of measurement of basic hydraulic quantities, calibration, basic legislative for testing. Students will learn how to evaluate the characteristics of hydraulic machines. | ||||
Teaching methods and criteria: | ||||
The course is taught through lectures explaining the basic principles and theory of the discipline. Teaching is suplemented by practical laboratory work. | ||||
