Academic year 2021/2022 |
Supervisor: | Ing. Martin Juliš, Ph.D.
Supervising institute: | ÚMVI
Teaching language: | Czech
Aims of the course unit:
The objective is to provide theoretical and practical knowledge of the basic non-destructive evaluation of materials and operation diagnostics
Learning outcomes and competences:
The course provides students with the knowledge of non-destructive testing of material at NDT qualification Level I. After completing the exercises, students will have 20 hours of practical experience. |
||||
Prerequisites: | ||||
Fundamental chapters of general physics: 1.Solid mechanics 2.Fluid mechanics 3.Electricity and magnetism 4.Oscillations and waves 5.Knowledge of technological processes. 6.Interaction between selected physical quantities and environment |
||||
Course contents: | ||||
Description of methods of non-destructive testing of materials and products including their physical principles in accordance with ČSN EN ISO 9712. Instrumentation technique in defectoscopy. Automation of testing operations.
Teaching methods and criteria:
The course is taught in the form of lectures, which explaining the basic principles of the non-destructive testing methods. Teaching is always supplemented by laboratory exercises.
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes:
Conditions for awarding the course-unit credit: Attendance at exercises, writing the required reports on laboratory exercises on corresponding factual and graphic level, control of knowledge in the 7th and 12th week in the form of written tests. Exam: The knowledge of topic areas dealt with in lectures is tested (mostly in written form). In the oral part detailed partial knowledge is tested or results of written test are corrected. Considered in the grading are: 1) the results of the evaluation of reports on laboratory exercises 2)the results of the written test and oral interview. |
||||
Controlled participation in lessons:
Attendance at lectures and seminars is compulsory. Absence from seminars may be compensated by the agreement with the teacher.
