Aims of the course unit:

Students will proceed in preparing their diploma theses so that they could be finished in the next semester.
Learning outcomes and competences:
Students will acquire skills necessary for working out the diploma theses.
Prerequisites:
Students are supposed to have the knowledge gained during the study related to the topic of their theses.
Course contents:
The course is oriented at instructing students during realization of their diploma theses. The interest is focused on how to use scientific literature, how to solve problems connected with their diploma theses and how to create a software on PC for preparing their diploma theses. Independent research in the area of applied mathematics is stressed.
Teaching methods and criteria:
Supervised student's work on master's thesis.
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes:
Students will be awarded by a course-unit credit depending on the success of their work on the diploma theses as approved by supervisors.
Controlled participation in lessons:
The work on the diploma theses will be checked by supervisors. If the supervisor is not satisfied with the student's results, the student will be assigned extra work to intensify the effort.
Type of course unit:
    Supervision of Master’s thesis  13 × 5 hrs. compulsory                  
Course curriculum:
    Supervision of Master’s thesis It is given individually by the supervisor of the diploma thesis.
