Teaching Profile

Study gauranteed by the institute

The institute offers the Faculty of Mechanical Engeneering students the following basic courses in mathematics: linear algebra, analytic geometry, calculus, numerical methods, constructive geometry and computer graphics, differential equations and infinite series, probability and mathematical statistics. Further mathematical courses, especially those of applied nature, are included in Master's and Doctor's degree programmes of individual specialisations.

Next, the institute organiyes Mathematical Engineering study on both the Bachelor's and Master's levels, which belongs to the Applied Sciences in Engineering study program. While the Bachelor's study is oriented on getting students acquainted with basic engineering disciplines and providing them with a broader knowledge of applied mathematics, the goal of the Master's study is to equip the graduates with a more profound theoretical engineering background in mathematics, programming, and state-of-the-art mathematical software. The best graduates in Mathematical Engineering may continue their study in the PhD. program Applied Mathematics, which is offered by the institute, too.
