Formula Student - students' project
TU Brno Racing Team was established in the fall of 2010. In less than nine months the first Formula Student kind of vehicle was built. The majority of the team consists of students from FME BUT.
Chicken Wings - students' aircraft team
The students from the Institute of Aerospace Engineering formed a team named BUT Chicken wings. The team participated in several international competitions, e.g. Air Cargo Challenge.
Pneumobil - students' project
The pneumobil is a vehicle driven by compressed air. The students from the Institute of Machine and Industrial Design, FME BUT are constructing their pneumobil to take part in an international competion.

Scientists from Victor Kaplan´s Department of Hydraulic Machines FME BUT designed a worldwide unique two-stage swirl turbine in a cascade arrangement.
PROJECT SPARTAN
The Institute of Aerospace Engineering was part of an ambitious project 7RP EU SPARTAN from 2011 to 2014. The goal was to develop a hybrid, highly throttleable rocket engine (H2O2 / paraffin) and test it in an interplanetary probe demonstrator.
ELECTRIC AIRPLANE VUT 051 RAY
Scientists from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, BUT have developed an airplane with electric engine VUT 051 RAY, which had its first take off in August 2014.

The students' racing team TU Brno Racing completed this year's racing season at the event Formula Student Hungary which took place from 22 to 25 August 2013 in Hungary near Győr.

We introduce to you a pneumobile, an experimental car with an alternative drive, that was constructed by students of the Institute of Machine and Industrial Design at FME BUT. The pneumobile is a car driven by a combustion engine.
