Automotive industry CAD (FSI-QC0)

Academic year 2023/2024
Supervisor: Ing. Aleš Prokop, Ph.D.
Supervising institute: ÚADI all courses guaranted by this institute
Teaching language: Czech
Aims of the course unit:
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the approach to modeling in basic modules in the Creo Parametric environment.
Learning outcomes and competences:

A graduate of the course is able to work in basic modules within the Creo Parametric environment. He is able to choose the optimal modeling procedure according to the established rules. The graduate can choose a strategically appropriate approach within tasks in the field of reverse engineering.

Prerequisites:
Basic knowledge of CAD systems, ability to design work.
Course contents:

The course enables the acquisition of all the necessary information for basic mastery of design work on the computer in the Creo Parametric system. The student will learn to create 3D models in an optimal way. He will gain experience in the field of reverse engineering, model modifications and possible export of 3D data for 3D printing or for purposes of computational modeling.

Teaching methods and criteria:

The course is taught in the form of computer-assisted exercises, which have the character of an explanation of the basic principles and theory of the discipline. The explanation is supplemented by a demonstration of practical tasks in the CAD software environment.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes:

The course-unit credit award is conditional on active participation in the exercises, where the ability to design work in the Creo Parametric software is continuously checked.

Controlled participation in lessons:

Attendance in exercises is compulsory, participation is checked by the teacher.

Type of course unit:
    Computer-assisted exercise  13 × 2 hrs. compulsory
