Design of Experiment (FSI-9PLE)

Academic year 2020/2021
Supervisor: Ing. Josef Bednář, Ph.D.
Supervising institute: ÚM all courses guaranted by this institute
Teaching language: Czech or English
Aims of the course unit:
Learning outcomes of the course are to acquaint students with the basic procedures used in effective experimentation. The task of the course is to show that it is not enough to do it some experiment, but it is most necessary to look at the results after analyzing the results model.
Learning outcomes and competences:
Student will be able to plan and statistically evaluate scientific experiment.
Prerequisites:
None
Course contents:
Introduction. Strategy for experimental design. Interaction. Two-dimensional models. Orthogonal design. Rotatable design. Central composite design.
Teaching methods and criteria:
The course is taught through lectures explaining the basic principles and theory of the discipline.
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes:
Zkouška bude udělena na základě prezentace čí předložení vědeckého článku, kde student prezentuje použití plánovaného experimentu (DoE) v oboru jeho výzkumů.
Controlled participation in lessons:
Lecture optional
