Calculations and Simulation in Design of Machine Tools (FSI-GOK-K)

Academic year 2020/2021
Supervisor: doc. Ing., Dipl.-Ing Michal Holub, Ph.D.
Supervising institute: ÚVSSR all courses guaranted by this institute
Teaching language: Czech
Aims of the course unit:
The aim of the course is to learn the methods of design using CAD software (Inventor, SolidWorks, etc.), computer software (Mathcad MITCalc, etc.) and simulation software ADAMS.
Learning outcomes and competences:
Students will learn the methods of designing machine tools and their construction nodes.
Prerequisites:
Basic knowledge of the structure of machine tools and knowledge in the field of mathematics, physics and electrotechnical qualification (50/1978) §4.
Course contents:
The content of the course is to gain knowledge of the design of machine tools. In this course, students learn the software which serves as a support for the development and construction of machhine tools.
Teaching methods and criteria:
The course is taught through lectures explaining the basic principles and theory of the discipline. Exercises are focused on practical topics presented in lectures. According to the possibility of teaching can be organized lectures for students by practitioners and excursions to companies focused on activities related to the course content.
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes:
The course is taught in the form lectures and seminars. The exercise is completed by the credit. To acquire the required 100% participation from the presented term project. Exams when the overall classification is composed of two sub-scores (as assessed ECTS).
Controlled participation in lessons:
The students’ participation and activity in seminars shall be checked. 100% participation in seminars is required; in case of absence, the student is obliged to substitute for the missed tuition in a way determined by the teacher.
