Teaching Profile |
||
Study gauranteed by the institute
The institute teaches subjects focusing on the design, construction, operation, control and diagnostics of forming and machining technology, industrial robots and manipulators as well as comprehensive production systems built from them. It also provides classes on subjects based on electrical engineering for bachelor's, master's and doctoral students of all courses (majors) and specialisations offered by the FME. |

Scientific Profile |

Projects solved by the institute
Research, development and design activities form an integral part of the institute's business. Our experts have developed a number of special-purpose machining tools for the production of bearings, as well as industrial robots of the PRKM series, which are used in many production factories. The institute has co-designed several flexible production systems and assisted in bringing them into regular operation. It participates actively in a number of research tasks – in co-operation with R&D laboratories and faculties in the whole Czech Republic. In addition to this, it deals with research tasks linked with the design and control of robots, the design of their peripherals and end effectors, the design of machining and forming technology, the calculation of hydrostatic circuits, elements of artificial intelligence, sensorics, metrology, production quality issues, as well as expert assessments in mechanical engineering and economics. The institute has recently further increased its already significant involvement in research in the areas of reliability, lifespan and diagnostic methods of electrical devices. This is true especially of rotary electrical machines. |

Professional Collaboration |
||
The institute maintains professional contact with several foreign technical universities and research institutions: TU and FhI Chemnitz, Hogeschool van Utrecht, ESIEE Paris, Tamperen Teknilinnen Korkeakoulu, Polytechnio Kritis and TU Gratz. |
