Academic year 2020/2021
Supervisor: doc. Ing., Dipl.-Ing Michal Holub, Ph.D.
Supervising institute: ÚVSSR all courses guaranted by this institute
Teaching language: Czech
Aims of the course unit:
Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to master basic operations with machine tools. Teaching will be directed to a CNC turning center and a three-axis CNC vertical milling machining center with Siemens Sinumerik control systems.
Learning outcomes and competences:
Course graduates will learn the methods of working with CNC machine tools.
Prerequisites:
Prerequisites and co-requisites Basic knowledge of machine tool construction, knowledge of engineering technology and electrotechnical qualification (50/1978) §4.
Course contents:
Learning outcomes of the course unit The course is aimed at gaining knowledge of machine tool operation. In the course, students will learn the basic elements for machine tool operation (machine components, machine control system, tool setting, workpiece alignment) including program preparation for machining with subsequent production of test workpiece.
Teaching methods and criteria:
The course is taught in the form of exercises in laboratories, which are focused on practical work with machine tools. As far as possible, lectures by practitioners and excursions to companies dealing with the content-related activities will be organized for students.
The course is limited to a group of max. 15 students.
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes:
The course is taught in the form of exercises in CNC machine tools accompanied by partial lectures. Exercise is completed by graded credit. 100% attendance and semester project is required for its acquisition.
