Supervisor: doc. Ing. arch. Jan Rajlich
Supervising institute: ÚK all courses guaranted by this institute
Teaching language: Czech
Aims of the course unit:
Graduates will be able to orient themselves in the field of multimedia creation, to create animations for the purpose of product presentation with an overlap into advertising and publishing on the web.
Learning outcomes and competences:
- orientation in current technologies used for publishing multimedia content,
- ability to prepare and process a complex 3D animation of the product,
- ability to create an animated composition from different types of graphic materials,
- ability to edit video and work with sound,
- basic knowledge in the field of publishing multimedia content on the web.
Prerequisites:
Advanced computer literacy is required - working with files, a basic overview of commonly used file types, the ability to edit text files, orientation in the basic configuration of the Windows operating system.
Furthermore, knowledge of working with 2D raster and vector graphics (eg. in Adobe or Corel) and 3D graphics (modeling and visualization), orientation in the process of digital graphics processing and a basic overview of digital data formats and standards used in computer graphics are required.
Course contents:
The course is focused on mastering applications and workflows for the creation and processing of multimedia content - animated 2D and 3D graphics with sound for production use.
Emphasis is placed on the connection of the technical side with the requirement to express the intention in the context of the processed assignment.
The course contributes to improving the technical level of students' works and increases the professional competencies of students in the labor market.
Teaching methods and criteria:
The course is taught in the form of lectures, which have the character of an explanation of multimedia creation. Exercises are focused on the practical mastery of workflows for the creation and processing of multimedia content.
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes:
The course is conducted in the form of blocks of lectures, followed by exercises in which students directly apply the lectured material on the basis of partial practical tasks. The course ends with a final project in which students demonstrate mastery of the content.
All practical tasks and the final project will be submitted electronically in source files and output formats according to specified requirements.
The resulting classification is determined according to the ECTS scale.
Controlled participation in lessons:
Lectures: participation is recommended.
Exercises: participation is mandatory and controlled by the teacher, a maximum of two absences are allowed, which do not release from knowledge of the subject matter and submission of assigned tasks. In case of long-term absence, compensation for missed classes is in the competence of the subject guarantor.
