    The article deals with the changes in the surface layer of the ring of rolled bearing steels. The additional method of hydrostatic roller burnishing operation is applied on samples of material 100Cr6 (EN 10132-4) and changes in the surface layer of the workpiece are then evaluated. The simulation using finite element method was used to better understand the ongoing phenomena.

    The paper describes the determination of various factors lubricants that affect the durability of rolling bearings or general rolling contact. Their knowledge is a prerequisite for use in calculating the life of roller bearings from two perspectives. Above all, it will be possible to determine more accurately the durability of rolling bearings or rolling contact with all the economic consequences. The deepening of this information will enable purposeful and controlled increase of rolling bearing durability.

    This article is focused on the analysis of the temperature field printhead FDM 3D printer based on RepRap project. The distribution of the temperature field in the print head is very important due to the optimum melting of the material. The resulting temperature field were analyzed using the software ANSYS Workbench and the resulting temperatures were verified during testing of print head. Several variants of print heads were proposed and two of them were produced. Their documentation was provided RepRap project developer community.

    This article is aimed at temperature field analysis of the print head on partly self-replicated FDM 3D printer based on REPRAP solution. Distribution of temperature field in the FDM print head is very important due to the optimal melting length of a printing material. The temperature field in FDM print head has been determined in terms of ANSYS computation and it has been verified by the print head testing. Couple of print heads have been designed and two of them have been produced. Both tested print heads have been provided to REPRAP project community.

    The article includes the results of research of thermodynamic effects in flat-surface grinding with the aim of eliminating generation of undesirable tensile residual stress in the surface layer and preventing other negative effects due to the thermal degradation of the surface . The mathematical quantification of heat and temperature in grinding was verified with the aid of thermal imaging system ThermaCam SC2000 complete with the definition of boundary conditions to determine specific individual dependence.
