    This article deals with an utilization of CNC grinding machine truing/dressing facilitated by a diamond dressing edge the contour move of which against the grinding wheel is carried out by a CNC equipment. The utilization of the CNC machine for both the grinding itself and the shape dressing is considered to be an optimal solution.

    The general technical information regarding the small-scale production modernisation is presented in this article. The model situation is the CNC technology utilisation in a mid-sized engineering company. The article is focused on the rationalization of the large parts machining using the carousel lathe. The solution introduced in this article identifies the optimal cutting conditions and also deals with a workpiece imbalance-caused difficult cutting conditions.

    The submitted article deals with partial preparatory act at grinding The exact establishment of grinding wheel to the axes in face of workpiece is necessity condition for attainment symmetrical spiral groove shape. For surface quality of ground groove it is further necessity sufficient supply of cutting fluid.

    The article is directed on the problematics of determination of probability rise of consistent product. During design and machining technology realization there is started from the requested conditions. In advance there are known the possibilities of selected technology. In the case of higher accuracy and quality requirements after machining, which are not ordinary and there are not possible to reach them by common manner it is suitable to determine the realiability of all configuration. The setup reliability is the function of individual elements. For selected technological method it is necessary to carry out the analysis of individual influences, independent effects. These create the individual elements, which are necessary to be empirically defined whitin the analysis. For each element it is necessary to determine the probability whith which the effect will arise. The setup probability is the defined as the intersection of these elements. The solution of this problem is directed to production of helical groove on the tool for forming, where are hight requierements on accuracy and quality of machined surface. There are proposed two technological methods for which there is determined the setup reliability by whitch it is possible to reach the required results on the product.
