Study verification in Bachelor's and Master's study programmes:

  • The study verification is completed in four weeks following after the examination period of a winter semester, and in six weeks following after the examination period of a summer semester (according to Article 15 para 1 of the Rules for Studies and Examinations valid at the Brno University of technology). The study may be terminated immediately after non-fulfilling the study requirements.
  • If a student fails to meet the requirements prescribed by the study programme according to the Rules for Studies and Examinations valid at the Brno University of Technology, his/her study will be terminated (Section 56 para 1 b) of the Act No. 111/1998 Sb., regarding Institutions of Higher Education, and the amendments thereto).
  • According to the Dean's Directive No. 8/2007, all institutes have to enter the record of study results in the information system in the date of classification, but on the following day at the latest. The examiner/teacher is responsible for the correctness of the record; the director of the institute is responsible for keeping the prescribed deadline.
  • Students are obliged to check systematically whether the results of their study are recorded in the electronic index, especially in the credit week, after passing an examination, and not later than in one week after the end of the examination period of each semester.
  • Students in the final year of study are obliged to check the electronic index for all years of study within 4 days after the end of the last examination period. The student complain about the incorrect data (about classification complain to the teacher of pertinent course, about other data to the study department). Finalized control the student confirm elektronically.

Doctoral study programme

  • Group lectures in the doctoral study programme are carried out in the courses registered in the individual study plans of at least 5 students. Instruction in other courses is carried out in the form of individual consultations.
  • The terms of state doctoral examinations, doctoral theses submitting, and their presentations are set by the respective Subject Council in accordance with the students' individual study plans.

Combined study:

Combined mode of study is organized in the form of consultations and controlled self-study in the rate of 1:2.

  • the combined mode of study can be scheduled for 14 weeks of instruction. It means that the last consultation may be organized within the examination period of full-time study;
  • examiners may set examination terms immediately after the last consultation of the given course;
  • examiners may set examination terms two weeks after the end of the examination period within each semester (this rule is not valid for final year).
