Aims of the course unit: | ||||
The objective of the course is to convey the experiences with the latest practice in management of complex projects. | ||||
Learning outcomes and competences: | ||||
After completing the course, the students are able to systematically apply the methods of project management in order to accomplish the projects in due time with the planned outputs and costs. | ||||
Prerequisites: | ||||
The students are expected to be acquainted with the basics of economics. | ||||
Course contents: | ||||
The course "Introduction to Project Management" is built up on the basic knowledge of enterprise management economics. Through examples from industry, the students become acquainted with the latest methods of project management. | ||||
Teaching methods and criteria: | ||||
The course is taught through lectures explaining the basic principles and theory of the discipline. Exercises are focused on practical topics presented in lectures. According to the possibility of teaching can be organized lectures for students by practitioners and excursions to companies focused on activities related to the course content. |

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes: | ||||
Course-unit credit is conditioned by 100% attendance at laboratory practicals and approved reports. Examination has a written and an oral part and tests student's knowledge and his/her ability to apply it in practice. | ||||
Controlled participation in lessons: | ||||
Seminars are compulsory, attendance is monitored. Absence can be compensated on agreement with the teacher. | ||||
