Computer Aided Production (CAD/CAM) (FSI-GPI-K)

Academic year 2020/2021
Supervisor: Ing. Ondřej Andrš, Ph.D.
Supervising institute: ÚVSSR all courses guaranted by this institute
Teaching language: Czech
Aims of the course unit:
1. Modern methods for computer-aided design and manufacturing are discussed. Students gain knowledge required to differentiate various methods for planning and scheduling with CAD/CAM support.
2. Application of simulation in manufacturing - Students prepare a simulation model and with the help of this model solve various problems using modern interactive simulation tools.
Learning outcomes and competences:
Students will gain knowledge and practical experience of using modern approaches for simulation, computer-aided design and manufacturing.
Prerequisites:
Basic knowledge of simulation and CAD systems.
Course contents:
The aim of the course is to apprise students with practical knowledge in the field of modern methods for production planning with the help of simulation methods, CAD/CAM in relation to the Industry 4.0. New methods and approaches are explained by means of examples and by solving industrial problems. The course will familiarise students with the given field and provide them with instructions for solving particular problems. The seminars will focus on solving particular issues raised by the students.
Teaching methods and criteria:
The course is taught through lectures explaining the basic principles and theory of the discipline. Exercises are focused on practical topics presented in lectures. Core knowledge is based on self-study of the technical sources.
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes:
Credit requirements: Participation in the seminars and delivery of semester work that will be evaluated.
Controlled participation in lessons:
Lessons are completed according to the FSI schedule. Missed lessons can be individually compensated.
Type of course unit:
Guided consultation in combined form of studies  1 × 17 hrs. compulsory
    Guided consultation  1 × 35 hrs. optionally
Course curriculum:
