Educational and professional goals

         Bachelor's study programme "Applied Sciences in Engineering" is a shorter type of a university study providing students with the necessary theoretical as well as practical knowledge in the selected specialised branch. These are interdisciplinary branches specialising in the border areas of engineering and applied sciences. The list of branches can be found on the faculty website ("Study plans"). Graduates may work as e.g. technicians in development, constructional, and technological institutes or enterprises, manufacturing plants, services and trade. They may occupy positions such as production engineers, designers, technologists, engineering managers, network administrators and the like. Career prospects depend on the selected branch of study. Graduates can also continue their studies in the follow-up master's study programmes.

Admission requirements and access to further studies

         Condition for admitting is a completed secondary education.
The graduates may continue in a master's study programme.

Examination and assessment regulations, required practice

         The respective rules and conditions are specified by the Dean's Regulation No. 7/2011. Required practice and its length may be specified by study plans.

Conditions required in the course of study and the duly completion

         Students have to complete all compulsory and compulsory-optional courses required by study plans (at leastof 180 credits). Further conditions are given by the set of study rules.

Final examination

         Final examination consists of bachelor's thesis defence and reviewed discussion. Both the professional level and the form of presentation of the thesis are evaluated during its defence. The aim of the discussion is to prove the level of learning outcomes and competences acquired, especially in the field related to the bachelor's thesis.
