In the current period of globalization, the knowledge of foreign languages has become so important as it has never been before. According to new Education Act teaching foreign languages should abide by the Common European Framework for languages. Russian as a foreign language has already come across the barrier of prejudice and a lack of interest and the number of people learning Russian is growing - of course in the new circumstances. Objectives, possibilities, and means that are available at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering are the subjects of our paper.
