Mixed municipal waste (JSB) is a heterogeneous material, consisting mainly of organic and mineral substances, metals and water. After thermal processing, this waste rozděšlí to individual products of combustion. This also applies to metals contained in waste. This article deals with the behavior of heavy metals (HM) and their compounds during the combustion process. The main goal of this work is the determination of selected heavy metals in the combustion products from the JSB.
In municipal waste incinerators jacket, and held weekly measurements. Were carried out sampling of products of combustion and the laboratory analysis results were processed for selected heavy metals.

This contribution summarizes utilizing of co-generation and tri-generation systems for effective electricity, heat and cool production. A co-generation and a tri-generation offer more effective utilizing of primary energy sources in comparison with separate production of different kinds of energy. This contribution describes actual state in the Czech Republic in year 2009.

Considerable attention is paid in the Czech Republic to renewable energy sources. The largest potential, out of them all, have biomass and waste. The aim therefore is to use them in CHP in smaller units (up to 5MWel). These are the subject of the research summarized in our article. The paper presents results of experimental research into gasification in a 100 kW AFB gasifier situated in Energy Institute, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Brno University of Technology, and fitted with gas cleaning equipment. Within the research, study was carried out into gas cleaning taking primary measures in the fluidized bed and using hot filter, metal-based catalytic filter, and wet scrubber. Descriptions and diagrams are given of the gasifier and new ways of cleaning. Results include: o Impact of various fuels (farming and forest wastes and fast-growing woods and culm plants) on fuel gas quality. Individual kinds of biomass have very different thermal and physical properties; o Efficiency of a variety of cleaning methods on content of dust and tars and comparison of these methods; o Impact of gasifier process parameters on resultant gas quality.

To be able to develop modern systems, it is essential to be familiar with the parametrs of biofuels affecting the progress of transformation procest. This publication summarizes the final results of research project called Biomass Energy Parameters. This includes list of 15 types of biofuels. To specify and clarify the measured results, this report includes descriptions of the individual experimental facilities as well as the methods employed during experimentation.
